The ULTRAMARINE E7016 welding electrode is designed for premium quality welds, offering X-ray soundness and high ductility. It conforms to AWS A5.1-91, E7016 and BS EN499, E42 B12H10 standards. The weld metal exhibits a typical chemical composition of 0.06% C, 1.15% Mn, 0.4% Si, 0.006% S, and 0.03% P. Key mechanical properties include a yield strength of 480 N/mm2, tensile strength of 570 N/mm2, impact strength of 105J at –30°C, and 27% elongation. This electrode is suitable for steel construction, boilers, shipbuilding, and high carbon steel applications. It features low spatter and fume formation, an excellent weld bead, easy slag detachability, and approximately 100% weld metal recovery. It is suitable for all position welding (1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, 1F, 2F, 3F, 4F) except vertical down, and can be used with both DC and AC current (70 V OCV Min). For optimal performance, electrodes should be stored in a moisture-free, ventilated area and re-baked at 300°C for 90-120 minutes before use, then kept in a hot box at 100°C-120°C.
